A big Thank You to everyone who attended and helped out at the coffee morning on Friday the 20th of December. A total of €950 was raised.
Thanks to our fabulous parents who helped out at both the Halloween party and the Boot Sale! We are nothing without the willing hands and enthusiasm of our members and both events were a great success.
Over €500 was raised at the Halloween party, and over €300 at the boot sale. We are well on our way to our target of €10,000!
The next and final event for 2013:
Coffee Morning from 9.00 am til 1.00 pm in the Foresters Hall on Friday Dec 20th.
This is the day the school closes so drop down for a cup of tea and a chat after leaving the kids off, or before picking them up.
Anyone who fancies baking for the Coffee morning, can you drop your bakes off at the school on Thursday 19th.
There will be a meeting before this to organise help etc for the day.
Many Thanks to all who have helped us get on our feet and get the fund raising started.

Indoor Boot Sale in Tara Hotel
24th November 2013
Donations of books, toys, handbags etc (in good condition) accepted in school Monday, 18th November - Wednesday, 20th November.
No Clothes/Furniture
All proceeds to Niall Mór Parents' Association Computer Fund.
Parents Meeting Oct 23rd 2013
Thanks to all the parents who attended the meeting on Wednesday Night in the school. It was a very productive meeting, and hopefully not too long, and we have a good plan for fund raising between now and Christmas.
The Association has been officially set up, affiliated to the National Parents council, and the constitution agreed with the Board of Management. Insurance has been obtained for any events which we choose to run.
Upcoming events were discussed, the first one being the Halloween Party on Nov 1st in the Tar Hotel from 5 – 7 pm.
We asked for, and got, commitment from parents to help with supervision at the event, which is great. No events can be successful without the support of our members and every hour you donate to us, and the school is greatly appreciated.
We still don’t have enough people for supervision so come along on the day and you’ll get a job!
Please advertise this event to everyone you know as it’s our first event and we want it to be a huge success.
Ideas thrown out for fund raising between now and Christmas include:
- A coffee morning on the last day of school Dec 20th in the Foresters hall
- A couple of tables at the Women’s Group car boot sale Nov 23rd , with items donated from households

Parent's Association
At a recent meeting of parents in the school a Parents' Association was formed. Congratulations to Trudy Quinn, Chairperson, Nuala Knox, Secretary, and Susan Cowley, Treasurer, who were elected on the night. They intend to have a number of fund raising activities during the summer holidays. They appeal to all parents to support their endeavours.
